On Friday in Montgomery, a sport utility vehicle crashed head-on into a Greyhound bus. The motor vehicle accident caused fatal injuries for the SUV’s driver and minor injuries for at least 36 passengers on the bus.

The Associated Press reported that the SUV was going the wrong way on I-65 at just after 2 a.m. Just before the crash, police had been dispatched to pursue the SUV because it was going the wrong direction.

The bus was headed south toward Mobile when the crash occurred. According to the report, this accident was the second time in four months that a Greyhound bus was involved in a head-on collision with a car going the wrong way on an interstate.
