According to a report from The Decatur Daily News, a fatal accident occurred Tuesday in Valhermoso Springs on Alabama 36. The driver died upon impact and her 33-year-old daughter was injured but survived the crash.
State troopers believe the accident occurred when the driver of the smaller car crossed the yellow line and lost control, crashing into the SUV holding a family of five. The mother in the passenger seat and two children in the back of the SUV were also injured. The driver and another child in the SUV were not injured.
