The busy last-minute shoppers and people traveling to visit family and friends combined with the bad weather over the Christmas weekend doubled the number of motor vehicle accidents on the roads, according ot a report from wtvm.com in Columbus.
With wet roads, traffic jams and too many people on the roads, the number of accidents in the Columbus area was more than 100, rather than the normal average of 50, local police said.
