Stokke LLC, in cooperation with CPSC, announced a voluntary recall of 2,000 Xplory Baby Strollers.
A bolt that attaches the front wheel to the stroller can come loose, causing one of the front wheels to fall off, posing a fall hazard to small children.
The company has received 14 reports of wheels falling off the stroller, including an incident where a child suffered scratches when she fell out of the stroller. There have been 244 reported incidents outside of the United States of the wheels falling off.
Only Xplory baby strollers with serial numbers between 1 and 28,097 and with grey handles are included in the recall. The serial number is located under the foot plate. Strollers with white handles are not included in this recall.
Consumers are advised to stop using the strollers and contact Stokke for a free wheel replacement kit
