A circuit court judge who is a friend of mine told me that he hates to see lawyers suing lawyers. I laughingly ask him if he would prefer that only plumbers sued lawyers. He shook his head and said "I see what you mean". The point is that people identify most easily with those who are like them. We do not want to sue other lawyers. In my opinion those who are competent to do so have an obligation to sue other lawyers when a breach in the standard of care results in damage to the client. Our system of justice depends upon representation for everyone.
